Welcome to the application powered by PDG Innovations. PDG Innovations LLC uses the app to hold, preserve and most importantly communicate patient dental implant data. Data on patient’s dental implant(s) will include all important and pertinent information that the patient can securely hold and easily access on the app.
Data will include but not be limited to; manufacturer of the Implant, size of the implant, Lot #, Reference # of any such parts associated with the placing and/or restoring of the implant such as; healing abutments, custom and temporary abutments, x-ray(s) of implant(s), photos of the implant, bone grafting or biologics used during surgery and anything the treating clinician deems important for the implant data for prolonged success and future communication to another dental provider that would be asked to maintain said implant.
New Standard of Care
If you’re a clinician who performs procedures related to implant dentistry it is almost guaranteed you have encountered a patient who presents in your chair with an implant you have no data for. It is likely the patient won’t know anything about the implant(s) either. This typically results in us or our office staff calling the previous provider to collect this data to properly treat the patients needs. This can often take weeks to hunt down the correct information and often times the implant(s) were placed at an office which that provider has retired or the office may have disposed of the records due to lapsed time. This is where our application will play a critical role in patient implant data record keeping. Data will be manually entered on the appropriate screen or by taking a photo of the implant packaging and uploading it to the corresponding screen.
With several million implants being placed in the United States each year spread across roughly 20 different implant manufactures, this can create a gap in treating patients if that data is not readily and easily accessible. We believe it should be a standard of care that the patient is able to access the data regarding their dental implant at any time and be able to share that with a provider at their discretion. It is critical to input and maintain patient dental implant data moving forward as implant density is becoming extremely common worldwide. Our App will streamline patient care and bridge the gap between providers and patients to treat the patient in a timely and appropriate fashion.
